About
When the campground become the scene of the crime, will Noelle’s peaceful summer go up in flames?
Burnt out event planner, Noelle Cooper, is returning to her hometown in rural Maine after eighteen years away. She’s never wanted to run her family’s campground, but her parents need help, and Noelle just can’t sit through another mind-numbing seminar at her real job. She plans to spend the summer relaxing, reinventing herself, and indulging in her cousin’s fresh baked treats.
But her plans go up in smoke when Emmitt—the local game warden and Noelle’s ex-boyfriend—cancels the campground’s annual event. Noelle is fired-up and determined to hold the event anyway. Even when she finds the body of her high school rival and becomes the prime suspect in a murder investigation.
The police are hung up on Noelle’s connection to the victim, and insist that where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Never mind the fact that Noelle can list a handful of people who were near the beach when the crime took place.
With the help of her podcast-obsessed cousin, her anxious rescue beagle, and some eccentric campers, Noelle starts poking around to find the real killer.
Will Noelle be able to prove her innocence before getting tossed into the county jail? Or is she playing with fire? Read Campfires & Corpses now to find out!
